SUMMARY:Buchholz High School Drama Players Presents Radio TBS
DESCRIPTION:For their second show of the 2024-2025 season\, Buchholz Players proudly presents Radio TBS. In this hilarious comedy radio hostesses and society doyennes Vesta Poteet and Dixie Mandrell bring to you the comings and goings of the activities in and around The Luna Del Mar Manufactured Home Oasis and Monkey Emporium — where very few of the monkeys are contagious. \nThere’s a visit to Graceland from rovin’ reporter Missy Goode (and her unfortunate arrest by the security guards); there’s the upcomin’ Miss Manatee contest\, if forced contestant Mayola Felts can stop eaten’ every sweet thing she can get her hands on; there’s The Heart of Dixie advice for the lovelorn and addicted — a subscription to the Gone with the Wind collectors series of plates with Scarlette O’Hara looking like Ernest Borgnine in drag is a dramatic disappointment. The colossal celebration at Luna Del Mar\, penicillin capital of central Florida\, is Jesus and Elvis; A Tribute to the Kings\, a little nativity with some rock n’ roll. \nSo it’s not the holidays\, but in honor of Elvis\, a drive-by nativity is planned with headlights to be beamed on the annual tableau — low headlights\, PLEASE! If you think that this kings’ tribute runs smoothly\, you’ll also believe that teased hair is a thing of the past.\nStudent director Anna Tomlinson said “This hilarious comedy is brought to life by an incredible cast who showcase the everyday lives of a group of people\, while reminding us of the importance of finding community. \nRadio TBS runs Dec. 4 – 8\, with shows nightly at 7 p.m.\, and shows Dec. 7 & 8 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices for general admission are $15 online and $17 at the door; student tickets are $12 online and $15 at the door; group tickets are $10 when purchased online\, and tickets are free for Buchholz High School faculty. Tickets can be purchased online at www.buchholzdrama.com.

SUMMARY:Buchholz High School Drama Players Presents Ride the Cyclone
DESCRIPTION:For their first show of the 2025 season\, Buchholz Players proudly presents Ride the Cyclone. In this hilarious and outlandish story\, the lives of five teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo\, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life. \nThe students include Ocean O’Connell Rosenberg\, a perfectionist and overachiever; her loyal sidekick\, Constance Blackwood; Noel Gruber\, the only openly gay boy in his small town; Mischa Bachinski\, a Ukrainian adoptee with a tragic nuclear past; Ricky Potts\, a boy born with an unnamed disease that left him mute and unable to walk; and Jane Doe\, a mysterious headless girl in a school uniform. \n“This darkly comedic musical features songs ranging from classical to glam rock to R&B to folk\,” said student co-director Allison Barton. “The talented cast really makes people ask themselves\, ‘How do you want to live?’”\nStudent co-director Taiden Roberts said “We’re thrilled to bring this unique production to life on our stage and can’t wait for the audience to experience the rollercoaster of emotions this show delivers.” \nRide the Cyclone runs Sept. 26 to Oct. 6\, with shows Sept. 26-28 and Oct. 2-5 at 7 p.m.\, and shows Sept. 29 and Oct. 5-6 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices for general admission are $15 online and $17 at the door; student tickets are $12 online and $15 at the door; group tickets are $10 when purchased online\, and tickets are free for Buchholz High School faculty.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.buchholzdrama.com.
