4 “Me Time” Indulgences

“Me time” is crucial for moms to keep a calm and fairly clear mind, am I right? Currently I am battling the constant stalling of my toddlers at bedtime and trying to catch up on “Real Housewives” and “Southern Charm.” So, what do you do to unwind, relax and have some “me time”? Here are a few of my favorites.

Binge watching my favorite reality shows

This includes most of the Bravo network and HGTV, especially Chip and JoJo!

Swimming

At the pool, I do not have to deal with gawking gym rats. I just jump in and go for an hour or so. It is so relaxing and an amazing workout!

Crafting

I have my own craft room now, and it is stocked with so many supplies that I have enough to make endless crafts. Of course, I can always use more, so the occasional kid-free trip to Michaels or Jo-Ann Fabrics is always a plus.

Target runs without the kids

I love to aimlessly wander up and down the aisles of Target with no rush, no kids begging for this or that, and no whining. It is pure heaven. It can put a big dent in my checking account, but I am learning to be better!

Though some of these activities do not happen as much as I would like them to, they still help keep me sane! So, go ahead and take some “me time.” Whether you are a stay-at-home mom or a working mom, you all certainly deserve it!
