The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo and the Alachua County Library host the free Story Time at the Zoo event in front of the zoo on the lawn the third Wednesday of each month. Feel free to visit the zoo afterward!Â

Visit the Cade Museum every Saturday for its Maker Workshop Series! This is an innovative program for kids ages 9 and up to participate in hands-on "maker sessions" to build and create using different materials, electronics and coding platforms. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The entire community is invited to celebrate Lights on Afterschool, presented by the Children's Trust of Alachua County in partnership with the Gainesville Circus Center. Join us for circus performances, activities, food, and fun as we celebrate the importance of after school programs. The event will begin at 4 p.m. with presentations at 4:30 p.m.
