Mom Emergency Car Kit

You know the drill: you rush to get out of the house, you jump in the car with your little ones, and halfway to your destination you realize you forgot half of what you needed. In the midst of your chaos and remembering everything you have forgotten, someone spills something all over the back seat. No matter the situation, the solution to your last minute problems and uh-ohs in the car is a mom emergency car kit!

A rescue bag that stays in the car will make your life much easier. You can tailor this bag to your specific needs, but these are a few items we think you should add to your mom emergency car kit!

Clothes

You never know when there will be an accident, and it never hurts to be prepared. Throw in some extra diapers, underwear and clean clothes for your little ones in the event of an emergency.

Cleaning

Kids make messes and get messy, it’s not a big secret! Kids play in dirt, get sweaty, often wear more food than they eat, drop their sippy cups and throw stuff, so be prepared for! Make sure your mom emergency car kit includes baby wipes, Clorox wipes, tissues and hand sanitizer to clean-up on the go!

Medical

Scratches and scrapes always seem to happen, so make sure you have bandaids (and in a pinch, you can use hand sanitizer as a disinfectant). It’s also a good idea to include essential medicines such as children’s pain relief, Benadryl and anti-itch cream.

Sun Protection

Living in Florida, you never know when a casual outdoor activity can turn into a possible sunburn. Make sure your mom emergency car kit includes sunscreen, sunglasses and hats for everyone to keep them protected and safe!

Snacks

Keeping some sort of non-perishable snacks on hand can be helpful to hold over hungry bellies on long car rides or just between meals. Though do try to keep something in your emergency kit that will not melt in the Florida heat if you leave this bag in the car. Goldfish, pretzels and other munchie snacks will probably hold up best.

Electronics

One of the worst feelings in the world is being out and about and realizing that your phone is out of charge. Keeping an extra charging cord or portable charger in your car for all your electronics will be a life saver!
