#momhacks: Favorite Holiday Traditions With Kids

By Giggle Magazine

Every family has their own unique holiday traditions. These traditions are what make the season so magical and get the kids excited for the next year. We asked local parents about some of their favorite holiday traditions with their kids and this is what they had to say!

“We make reindeer food every Christmas Eve with the boys and sprinkle it outside! Even though the boys are older, we still do it with their younger cousin and it is one of my favorite traditions!” – NICOLE IRVING

“I do Mensch on a Bench with my students at school!” – GINNY SWITT

“I take my four-legged kids for a picture with Santa! I also do the Gainesville Santa Crawl benefitting Catholic Charities’ weekend backpack program with my adult son.” – LESLIE FLORENCE

“Each year, we go to the mall and get personalized ornaments with our name and the year on it.” – LINDSEY JOHNSON

“Each year we go to my husband’s hometown and Christmas carol throughout the town. The fun part is all the kids and grandkids (about 30 people total) load onto a huge cow trailer filled with hay for a “hay ride” as our transportation. It has become such a big deal that we now have a police escort!” – DEEDEE RAULERSON
“In addition to Christmas, we celebrate 3 Kings Day on January 6th. My kids prepare a box full of hay and leave it out for their camels. In return, they find presents the next day.” – ANIBAL RODRIGUEZ
