There is a new app in town, and it is one that is sure to grab the attentions of parents looking for a few hours to themselves!
Bambino is a free app for both parents and babysitters that just launched its Gainesville/North Central Florida branch in August. Bambino allows you to see what sitters your friends use, and all babysitters must be recommended. Simply search nearby sitters and then submit a request when your need a babysitter — just like with Uber or Lyft!
“Being a parent and a functioning adult should not be mutually exclusive,” wrote Sean Greene, the founder and CEO of Bambino. “It’s been said that it takes a village to raise a child, and we couldn’t agree more.”
The app works in just three simple steps. First search through available sitters. You can see who your friends recommend or search through neighborhood favorites. Then you simply enter booking details, select sitters in your own neighborhood and confirm the best ones for the job. Once the night is over, you can pay your sitter through the app, using Bambino’s standardized pay rates.
So, the next time your regular sitter cancels or you need to find someone to watch your kids last minute, consider giving Bambino a try to see if it works for you.
