DIY Bookmarks

Supplies:

  • Ruff-age like leaves, flowers and ferns
  • Large book
  • Parchment paper
  • Thick cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Mod Podge or Contact paper
  • String or Ribbon

Instructions:

To prep for this craft, all you need to do is gather any delicate flowers, leaves or ferns from around your house. Preserve and flatten them by placing them inside the pages of a heavy book lined with parchment paper for 4 days. In the meantime, cut a rectangle of stiff cardstock into the desired size (we recommend 2” by 7” to fit in most books) and punch a hole near the top. Arrange the dried leaves and ferns in any pattern on the cardstock and glue down. Cover the cardstock with Mod Podge or contact paper, going over the hole at the top again. Thread a string or ribbon through the hole and tie ends together, creating a loop.
