Make Warm Apple Cranberry Sangria for National Apple Day

October 21 is National Apple Day, and we are ready to celebrate! Apples are perfect for fall, and they pair well with all different kinds of fall flavors. This warm Apple Cranberry Sangria is perfect for getting into the fall spirit without drinking yet another pumpkin flavored beverage. Enjoy!

Apple Cranberry Sangria

  • 1 bottle sweet white wine
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, sliced into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 2 cups cranberries
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup allspice
  • 1/2 cup nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Combine the white wine, red wine, brandy, apple cider, cranberry juice and lemon juice in a large slow cooker. Cook on low.

Add cinnamon sticks, allspice and nutmeg. Let sit and stir occasionally for 2 hours. Shortly before serving, add 1 cup of cranberries and 1 cup of apples.

Serve warm, adding the remaining cranberries and apples to the top of the drink. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
