Hey moms, dads and parents-to-be! I’m Carrie, and I am here to share shenanigans, craft ideas and whatever else I can to help you get through this thing we call parenthood.
I am a stay-at-home mom to four girls ages 17, 4, 3 and 2 (yes, you read that right). I have a hardworking saint of a husband, who is completely surrounded by lots of estrogen, moods and tears (usually mine!). I was a single mom when my oldest daughter was younger, so my hat is off to you single parents that do the job of two. It is no easy task!
I love Pinterest, Target, mimosas and quiet trips to the bathroom alone. Crafting is my therapy, and I try to do it often because, let’s face it, I could use some therapy! I’ll definitely share any fun craft ideas I come across. I sometimes hide when I eat, so I don’t have to share with the vultures, and I’m lucky to get a shower in every other day — usually I use my dry shampoo and get a washcloth wipe down! We eat as much organic as possible when I food shop (and then the toddlers go and eat old Cheerios and crackers off the floor of my SUV) and nonorganic when my hubby shops. I love my essential oils and really do try to go the more natural route, but I figure so long as our kids are fed, loved and alive, we are doing something right!
There are tons of shenanigans that go on in the Groves house on a regular basis, including DD2 and 3 pulling all the fluff out of their pillows, DD2 and 3 coloring their baby sister with Sharpie when she was a couple months old, and DD2 and 3 coloring our kitchen cabinets with Sharpie, complete with big smiley faces. The latest and greatest of our shenanigans? My 4-year-old throwing a fit, storming off to her room and locking the door. She refused to unlock it, resulting in my literally breaking the door in.
I’m really looking forward to sharing all of our wild and crazy life moments (the good, the bad and the ugly), and I hope you enjoy reading about them! Until next time …✌♥
