This weekend, graduating seniors at Buchholz High School have been invited to a special ‘senior drive through’ event on the BHS campus to celebrate their graduation while practicing social distancing.

“Students will line up in their cars and drive through the parking area to the cheers of teachers and staff,” according to an Alachua County Public Schools press release. “Signs will also be set up featuring individual students.”

To commiserate their last ride through campus, there will be music and balloon arches. Also, law enforcement vehicles with flashing lights will be there to celebrate the students.

The ‘senior drive through’ event will take place on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Buchholz High School. “Students will enter the campus from NW 27th Avenue and exit onto NW 55th Street,” according to the press release. Students will remain in their cars to maintain social distancing.
