Have you noticed your child struggling to read on grade level? If so, the New Worlds Reading Initiative may be able to help.

What is the New Worlds Reading Initiative?

The New Worlds Reading Initiative delivers books directly to your door. It helps “your child develop their reading skills with free books and reading activities,” according to their website.

How does it work?

Every month, the New Worlds Reading Initiative provides you with a new book and reading activities based on the kind of books your child likes to read, according to their website. This allows your child to develop their reading confidence, practice skills and have fun. It also allows you to grow a personal at-home library.

How to I apply?

To be eligible to apply, your child must be a Florida VPK student that has not yet met the “age-appropriate standards according to FAST Star Early Literacy” or a kindergarten through fifth grade student at a “public or district-sponsored charter school who is not yet reading on grade level,” according to their website.

If your child is eligible, you can fill out the application here.
