Loggerhead Marinelife Center Summer Camp

Summer is now calling at Juno Beach’s Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s Summer Camp, which will host its 10-week Junior Marine Biologist camp for children ages 6-13 from June 1 to Aug. 7.
With exciting, hands-on marine science and educational activities, this sea turtle research and conservation center offers three camps designed not only to help campers make friends but also to explore marine life and experience the outdoors.
Camp options include the Sea Turtle Savers camp, intended for aspiring sea turtle researchers, veterinarians and biologists, and will have campers conduct sea turtle patient rounds, investigate Florida’s habitats and perform sea turtle nesting surveys.
Camp Ocean Adventures will allow participants to gain a full appreciation of the outdoors, with snorkeling, kayaking, beach trips and more. The center’s third camp, Conservation Heroes, will allow children to gain an understanding of ocean stewardship, endangered species and how to restore ecosystems and protect the planet.
Early camp registration, which includes discounted pricing and priority placement through the center, is now open until Feb. 28, along with scholarships to cover full tuition.
Scholarship applications are due by Tuesday, March 31, and are available for campers in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Glades, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Visit the Longerhead Marinelife Center’s website to learn more, view pricing and apply. All campers must have completed kindergarten and be 6 years old by the time of camp enrollment.
