Hello to all the a-maize-ing crafters out there! Are you ready to lend us your ears? This fall we’ll show you how to turn simple paper into the coolest crop in the patch.
This seasonal project will have you popping with excitement. It’s not just a regular craft—it’s totally corny in the best way! Follow these simple steps to grow your very own paper corn stalk. Don’t forget to make popcorn to snack on while you create your fall project!
Supplies
- Green construction paper
- White construction paper
- Yellow paint
- Paint brush
- Bubble wrap
- Scissors
Instructions
- Using your white paper, draw the shape of an ear of corn and cut it out. Make as many ears as you’d like and set them aside.
- Prepare the bubble wrap “stamp” by painting the bubble side with yellow paint in an area large enough to cover one whole ear of corn. Once painted, place your white paper ear of corn over the painted bubble wrap and gently press down so the paint transfers.
- Slowly pull back the white paper to reveal your corn kernel print. Set aside to dry.
- Using the green paper, cut out husk shapes to hold the ears of corn. They can be any shape you like. Glue these to the ears of corn once they’ve dried and enjoy your harvest!

Tip
Use your corn crafts as place cards for Thanksgiving dinner!
