May 4 marked the first day of Phase One of Florida’s reopening process, and many Florida parks have started to reopen as a result!

“As these parks are re-opening, DEP will be taking measures to ensure the protection of staff and the public,” according to the Florida Parks website. “Visitors should expect limited hours, capacity and amenities.”

There are about 80 parks and trails that are reopening across the state, and you can view a full list of these parks here. Local parks like Suwannee River Wilderness Trail and Gainesville to Hawthorne State Trail are among the 80 that can be visited!

Florida Parks encourages that visitors continue social distancing measures while at the parks. This includes not gathering in groups larger than 10 and keeping at least six feet away from others. You should also avoid handshakes and hugs.
