Strawberry Picking in Gainesville and Beyond!

Excitement is in the air as strawberry picking season approaches! Try out these local activities to enjoy with your loved ones.

 

Florida Strawberry Festival 

2209 W Oak Ave, Plant City, FL 33563, March 4th – March 14th

Add this premiere event in Plant City to your family’s traditions. Rides and attractions make for the perfect playground for your little ones. Wander around Neighborhood Village, taking a peek at the local arts and crafts booths and delectable desserts like strawberry shortcake. Gates open and close 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. It costs $10 admission for adults 13 and older, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 and children ages 5 and under get in for free! Click here to learn more! 

 

The Family Garden Organic & Fair Farm

1655 SE 23rd Pl, Gainesville, FL 32641-1455

Pick organic strawberries at this local family farm! The first pick of the season will be Saturday, February starting at 8:30 a.m. They ask that you follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask! Click here for more information!

 

Roger’s Farm

3831 NW 156th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609

Shake up your weekend by checking out this u-pick strawberry field. Walk along the rows of strawberry plants, filling up your buckets with fresh fruit. The hours change, so make sure to take a look at Roger’s Farm Facebook page for updated u-pick hours.  

 

Bradford County Strawberry Festival

Bradford County Fairgrounds, Starke, FL March 27th – March 28th

Known to have the “sweetest strawberries this side of heaven,” the 23nd annual festival features food vendors and, naturally, sells strawberry-filled desserts. It doesn’t get fresher than this! Open March 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and March 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here for more!
