WUFT’s Fanfares & Fireworks
Date and Time: Thursday, July 3, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Location: UF Bandshell at Flavet Field
Price: Free
Features: Gainesville’s beloved annual tradition returns to the UF campus for a night of live music, food trucks and a fireworks finale. Multiple bands perform leading up to the Skylighters of Florida fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. No dogs, sparklers, drones or alcohol permitted; coolers are allowed.
City of Newberry Fourth of July Fireworks Show — Stars, Stripes & 250 Years of Freedom
Date and Time: Friday, July 3, vendors begin at 6 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Location: Country Way Town Square, 1739 SW 248th Drive, Newberry
Price: Free
A community celebration at Country Way Town Square featuring local vendors and a fireworks show to close out the night.
City of Alachua Annual July 4th Celebration
Date and Time: Saturday, July 4, gates open at 5 p.m., band at 6 p.m., the national anthem at 9:20 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Location: Legacy Park Multipurpose Center, 15400 Peggy Road, Alachua
Price: Free
Billed as “The Largest Small Town Fireworks Display in America,” this long-running celebration draws thousands every year. Expect live music, food trucks, a kids’ corner and a choreographed fireworks show. No personal fireworks, pets or glass containers.
Town of Micanopy Annual Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks
Date and Time: Saturday, July 4, parade begins at 11 a.m., evening activities begin at 5:30 p.m., fireworks begin at dusk
Location: Parade along Cholokka Boulevard; evening at Carson Roberts Sports Complex
Price: Free
A full day of small-town Fourth of July fun — start with the morning parade through Micanopy’s historic downtown (arrive early to secure a good spot), then head to the ballpark for food trucks and a free bounce house before the fireworks at dusk. Bring chairs, blankets and bug spray.
